Hikvision CCTV installation
Cameras, recording and network access designed together for your property—not a box of equipment left for you to decipher.
Start with what you need to see
Whether it is a driveway, entrance, workshop, retail floor or several points around a business, we begin with coverage. Together we assess camera positions, cable routes, the recorder, network access and handover. The result is a system built around the building and the way you will use it.
Choosing the right cameras
We install Hikvision for new systems. Options can include fixed or varifocal views, suitable low-light ColorVu models, and compatible cameras that can distinguish people and vehicles. The right choice depends on distance, lighting, recording needs and budget; we specify it after discussing the site.

Wired recording and practical access
In a typical new installation, wired IP cameras feed a local network video recorder (NVR). That gives you continuous on-site recording without requiring a cloud-storage subscription. We size storage for the agreed retention period, then configure supported phone viewing and explain what happens if the internet connection is down. Cloud or other optional services, if selected, can have separate costs.
What we can include
- Site survey and camera-position plan
- Camera mounting, cabling and recorder installation
- Network and remote viewing configuration
- A clear handover so you know how to view and retrieve footage
- Help with adjustments, additions and ongoing support
After installation
We can help keep the system working and expand coverage as the property changes. Have a system already? See our takeover and maintenance service.
Common questions
Do I need an internet connection for CCTV?
Many recording systems can operate locally, but phone viewing and remote access depend on a suitable network and internet connection. We’ll explain the options for your site.
Will the cameras record colour at night?
Some ColorVu models are designed for colour imagery in low light. Results depend on the exact model, available light and placement, so we’ll assess those rather than promise a particular result in every location.
Can you install CCTV for businesses?
Yes. We work with homes and businesses and tailor camera coverage, access and handover to the property. We can discuss your practical responsibilities around notices, retention and access during the project.
